  conclusion: Driving tired can be a very dangerous to you and others, but there are ways to avoid falling asleep on the wheel.

Compare and Contrast topic

     I choose this to do a compare and contrast essay on these two heroes because I found that they had many similarities. Most people who have seen or follow these heroes would know that Tony Stark and Bruce Wayne are both humans with an enormous amounts of resources and money at their disposal. These heroes use their money and power to help the city fight crime and super villains. The purpose to this paper will be to prove that even though these characters are both similar Batman is a better human being.

Summary and choice of essay

Fish Cheeks

This story about a girl having a friend over for dinner was mainly about her being ashamed of her culture. She did not like having the Chinese food and wished her parents could of treated their guest to a more American Christmas. At the end her mom tells her to not be ashamed of her culture and be proud instead.

Superman and Me

This article is about a boy living in Spokane indian reservation who learns to read by reading a Superman comic. His family wasn't by any means rich or poor, they were considered middle class. His dad who would work part time jobs was the one who had a passion for reading books and his son would just read what his father would bring home.

I will be doing my essay on the Superman and Me article because I can easily relate to it. My father also had part time jobs and he loved soccer and as far back as I can remember he would always take me to soccer games and trainings because he loved watching me play.

   Favorite place

When ever season starts the grass is always green. Whenever we come out to play the weather can not be anymore perfect. During cold winter nights the grass becomes wet and slick, but during the summer heat the grass seems to loss all its moisture and makes it heavier to run on. Either way we play soccer and always have a great time. Crowds gather to watch the matches. Mothers and fathers of the player's come to show support. Everyone cheering on their team and bringing the atmosphere to life with the sounds of matraka. Soccer games all around and friends always near.

"Why We Lie", by Dan Ariely

Summary

     This article talks about a study done on a majority of college students. The study was to determine why people cheat and if different variables change the outcome of the dishonesty. Dan believed that all people cheat and that door locks are to keep the honest people honest and the dishonest people would be easily able to break into your house and steal if they really wanted to.
     Dan Ariely and his colleagues created an experiment called the "Matrix Task". They would give people a sheet of paper with numbers on them and ask them, "Which two numbers in the matrix added up to 10?" most people cheated on these but only by a little. The research showed that people only cheated more if given the opportunity. Many other conditions were put on the people doing these experiments. One for example was that people would get paid by how many numbers they solved and at the end they had to shred their paper, so there was no way to prove they lied, giving them an opportunity to lie. Another variable that was put into this experiment was having another person taking the test at the same time. He was an actor pretending to cheat and claiming he had all the correct answers. This cause an increase of cheating to happen between the control groups.

Favorite quote

"reminders of morality right at the point where people are making a decision"
        This was the most interesting point in the article to me because no one lied when told to recall the 10 commandments or the school honor code. Reminding people of their morals had the biggest effect on cheating.
